- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪i am on my EIGHTH HOUR of waiting for dr. prettelt or someone from his practice to discharge my father from the hospital. i have been told at least 3 times that he is in the hospital and on his way, yet neither he nor anyone on his staff have bothered to contact me. i'm pretty sure that if i kept him waiting 8 hours to see me, he would not have made himself available. why is his time more valuable than mine, especially when i am paying the bill? i get that there are many patients who need treatment, but all we need here is a signature for discharge (my father has already been seen by the specialist, who actually did show up when he said he would), which could be done in less than a few minutes. being a good doctor is worthwhile only if you actually attend to your patients.December 10, 2016by monica levy
